Funeral services for Bertha Roundy, 78, of 3115 Portage Road, Niles will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Mrs. Roundy died at 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, following an illness.
She was born July 24, 1918 in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident. She retired from Simplicity Pattern Co. in 1980.
She is survived by a son, James "Jim" Roundy of Niles; a daughter, Bonnie Hayward of Houston; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
