James Albert Thompson

James A. Thompson, 2183 Helman street, Clay township, died in his residence at 4:25 a.m. today after an illness of two and one-half months. He was born in Norwalk, Ohio., Aug. 3, 1918, and moved to South Bend from there 19 years ago. He was an employe of the South Bend Lathe works.
He was married here in 1940 to Miss Jeanne Myers, who survives. Surviving besides his widow are his parents, Mr. and Albert Thompson, Miami, Fla.; two children at home, Dennis James, Michael Allen; two brothers, Donald, South Bend; Bernard, Hialeah, Fla., and three sisters, Mrs. Robert Apt, Mrs. Charles Lannan and Mrs. John Gardener, all of South Bend.
Friends may call in the Hollis chapel after noon Tuesday until the funeral there at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday. Rev. Charles B. Croxall, assistant pastor of First Methodist church, Mishawaka, will officiate. Interment will be in Chapel Hill cemetery east of Mishawaka
