Edwin "Keith" Taylor

Edwin "Keith" Taylor was born on Mar. 12, 1919, the 1st child born to Essie (Crouch) & Rossamond Jeremiah Taylor. Keith was born in New Carlisle, St. Joseph Co., Ind, at the home of his grandparents, Mary (Norter) & Norman E. Crouch.

At the time of his birth Keith's parents resided in Dowagic, Mich, but by 1930 the family had settled in So. Bend, St. Joseph Co., Ind., however, they moved several times within the city.

Around 1941 Keith got a job selling & delivering milk for with the National Milk Co. He retained this job until he retired in 1978. (By the time Keith retired, the company was known as Hawthorn Melody.)

On 16 June 1945 Keith married Rose Alice Gerencser. They were married in Our Lady Of Hungary Catholic church in So. Bend. The couple had 3 children; Beverly Jean, Donald Keith & Allan Lee Taylor.

After their marriage Keith & Rose resided at 1222 1/2 McCartney street in So. Bend, but by the mid 1950's they bought a home at 629 Preston Dr. In this home they raised their 3 children & grew old together.

Rose died in 2001. Keith was in poor health & went to live with his son Don. Eventually Keith required more extensive care & he was moved to the Woodcrest Care Center in Decatur, Adams Co., Ind.

Edwin "Keith" Taylor died on Jan. 5, 2005 in the Woodcrest Care Center. He was 85
