Dee Leonard Shorb, 62, of 204 E. Irvington, died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Osteopathic Hospital after an illness. He had been employed 40 years by South Bend Lathe Co. He was born on Aug. 19, 1917, in Huntington, Ind., and had lived in South Bend most of his life, after moving from Huntington.

On Sept. 6, 1942, in South Bend, he married Ethel M. Williams, who survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Joan Weaver of Munster, two sons, Keith of Griffith and Linn of Payway, Calif.: four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Fettel and Mrs. James Richel, both of South Bend, Mrs. Paul Rouch of Granger, Mrs. Sam Foss of Billings, Mont., and a brother, Wilbur of Kalamazoo

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, in Guisinger Colonial Chapel with Dr. Lester Sumrall, pastor of Christian Center, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

 He served with the Army during World War II. Memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or Christian Center memorial fund.
