Earl Colin "Conie" Schrader

Earl C. Schrader Beloved dad of Sue and Tom (Kathy) and proud grandfather of Chris and Jamie, died November 29, 2004 at age 86.

Known as "Conie" to family and close friends, he grew up in South Bend and at Lake Tippecanoe where he met Jean, his wife of 60 years who died in 2003. Earl graduated from Purdue, served with the 87th Field Artillery, and retired from Eli Lilly after 39 years. Conie was the ultimate do-it-yourselfer, as well as a member of ATO fraternity and the Masons.

He enjoyed golf, pops concerts, bridge, and travel. A wonderful dad, grandfather, and friend, we will miss and remember him always. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Purdue Foundation, for the Earl C. and Jean M. Schrader Scholarship Fund, c/o Mike Pedley, Planned Giving Office, 403 West Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907.

A visitation followed by a memorial service will be at 1:30 Sunday, December 12, in the Assisted Living Activities Room of Marquette Manor, 8150 N. Township Line Road, Indianapolis. Arrangements entrusted to Crown Hill Funeral Home
