Donald Stewart Saunter

Donald S. Saunter, 68, of 721 Country Club Lane, died at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in his home. Mr. Saunter retired in 1982 after 46 years as materials manager at Reliance Electric Co.

He was born March 24, 1918, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 18, 1941, in Chicago, he married Charlotte Durgin, who survives with a daughter, Judy Watts of Granger; two granddaughters; a sister, Mary Suzanne Johnson of Fruitland Park, Fla.; and a brother, George of Honolulu.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mishawaka, Mishawaka Rotary Club, American Red Cross, United Way and Morris Park Country Club.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association
