Elinore Marie (Ruppert) Milliken

Elinore Marie Milliken, 87, of West Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Chicago Trail Village, New Carlisle, Ind., and South Bend, Ind., died at 8 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 in Valley View Health Care, Elkhart, following an illness. Mrs.Milliken was born Sept. 3, 1917, in South Bend, to the late Frederick and Hattie (Hermann) Ruppert and was a lifetime area resident.

On April 7, 1945, in South Bend, she married Albert B.Milliken, who preceded her in death June 26, 1983. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Sharon Lehman;and a sister, Helen Veith.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy L.(Joseph) Roche of Sturgis, Mich., and Brooksville, Fla.;a son, Ray E. (Maribell Sisson) Milliken, also of Sturgis; six grandchildren, Susan (Raymond) Miller, John (Connie) Milliken, Sally (Danny) Spence, Jeffrey Milliken, Kathy (Jeff) Murray and Thomas (Kristina) Roche; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elaine (Robert) Toppel of South Bend.

Mrs.Milliken was a member of Lydick United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m.Saturday, December 11, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N.William St., with Rev.Jennifer Johns- Gooding of Lydick United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory, South Bend, with burial to follow at Mt.Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend.Friends may call from 1 p.m.until time of services in the funeral home on Saturday.
