William F. Rodgers, 66, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died June 14 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Petersburg, Fla. Services and burial were June 18 in the Veterans Cemetery, St. Petersburg. The David C. Gross Funeral Home, St. Petersburg, handled arrangements, Local memorial services will be held in July at the First United Methodist Church, Bristol.

Mr. Rodgers was a World War II Navy veteran and a former member of the First Christian Church of South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Fund.

He was born July 14, 1918, in South Bend and was a retired electronics technician.

On Sept. 2, 1939, in South Bend, he married the former Betty Jane Gaff, who survives with two daughters, Carol Sigsbe of Riverside, Calif., and Diane Erickson of Bristol: two sons, William Jr. and Brian, both of Bristol; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Barnes of South Bend.
