Oscar E. Renz, 62, of 1001 S. Twyckenham, died at 11:20 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after a two-week illness. Born on Feb. 2, 1918, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.

He was a shipping clerk for 40 years at the FullerO'Brien Paint. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post 360.

On Nov. 12, 1949, in Michigan City, he married Marie V. Pekarski, who died in 1975.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha Hoffman Renz of South Bend; a daughter, Miss Kathleen A. Renz of South Bend; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Greening of Granger.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. Rev. Ray Mills, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
