Richard H. Renner, aged 26, after two years' illness, died at 4:30 p. m. Tuesday in the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Steinigeweg, of 1009 Lawndale avenue, with whom he made his home.

He was formerly employed by the Bendix Aviation corporation and later by army air corps civil service at the Kawneer plant at Niles, Mich. He was graduated from Central High school, where he was a football star from 1934 through 1936, and from Parks air college, St. Louis, Mo.

He was born here June 28, 1917, and was married in 1941 to Wava Lorene Steinigeweg. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Pearl M. Renner, of South Bend, and his father, C. P. Renner, Detroit, Mich.

Friends will be received in the Willis-Joyce mortuary after 5 p.m. today and until 2 p.m. Thursday. Then the body will be taken to Westminster Presbyterian church to lie from 3 p.m. until the funeral at 4 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Robert M. Selle, pastor of St. Paul's Memorial Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial park.

Pallbearers will be Russell R. Aulm, Robert W. Stoll, Wesley Button, Carl L. Hibberd, jr., William H. Lattimer and Richard E. Herr. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen A. Hall, Dell E. Rice, Dr. James A. Duggan, Glenn O. Keasey, Park L. Smith, Harold Swanson, George E. McLean, Kenneth S. Apger and Russell. Loutzenhizer.
