Henrietta "Etta" (Rems) Crosbie

Henrietta "Etta" Rems Crosbie, 89, of West Lafayette, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at Home Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Conrath, Wis., daughter of the late Edward Rems and Kunegunda Baczkeiwicz Rems.

She married Rollo M. Crosbie in 1938 in South Bend. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1947. Mrs. Crosbie enjoyed travel, and pursued in-depth learning about nutrition, the Bible and esoteric studies.

She retired as an accountant from Rockwell Corp. in Gary.

Surviving is a son, Quin Crosbie (wife: Jane Wheatley-Crosbie) of Santa Monica, Calif. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Michael McClain, Maureen McClain, Erica Crosbie-Smith, and Ryan Crosbie and their families, including six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karin Rochelle McClain in 1983, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Henrietta will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel entrusted with care
