Harry R. Rathfon, 71, of 815 W. Douglas Road, Mishawaka, died at 8:15 a.m. today in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka.

Mr. Rathfon owned Mariner's Haven, Eagle Lake, Edwardsburg, from 1947-1977 and was employed by United Conveyor Corp., Mishawaka, and Bendix Corp. He was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Niles and was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 9, 1949, in South Bend, he married Marjorie Hall, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, June Perkins of Edwardsburg and Clara McMillan of Kettering, Ohio.

He was a member of Community Baptist Church and Gideon Bible Society and was a veteran of World War II.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Gideon Bible Society.
