John Joseph Prebesch Muller

John J. Muller, 78, of Victoria Street, South Bend, Ind., died in his residence on Tuesday, Feb. 18. He was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Mishawaka, Ind., and was a lifetime resident. During World War II he served with the 45th Depot Group of the United States Army Air Force.
On Jan. 19, 1946, in St. Matthew's Cathedral, he married Margaret L. Cooke, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and David Gill, Karen and Douglas Block and Mary and Bennie Thomas, all of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a son, John (Jack) E. Muller of South Bend.
Mr. Muller retired in 1982 as an estimator from the Sollitt Construction Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Matthew's Cathedral and was an usher there. He was also a member of the Notre Dame Ushers' Club.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association
