Anthony R. "Tony" Poropat

Anthony R. "Tony" Poropat, 90, of Indianapolis, formerly of South Bend passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was married to his beloved wife Sherron for 54 years until her passing in 1999. They met during his military service at Camp Shelby, Mississippi.

Tony was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church, and South Bend Lions Club where he had been past President Tony retired in 1976 as Vice-President and Treasure with First Bank and Trust, Co. of South Bend.

He is survived by his children, Julia E. (Tony) Miller, and Richard (Kay) Poropat; grandchildren, Allison and Nathan Miller, Matt and Tim Poropat He is also survived by his sister, Pat (Morgan) Ketcham of South Bend.

Private services to be held. Flanner Buchanan Funeral Center - Lawrence handling local arrangements.
