R. Richard Moran

SOUTH BEND - R. Richard Moran, 73, of Sunnyvale, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died July 26 in Mountain View, Calif., after an illness.

Mr. Moran retired in 1976 from Farm Machinery Corp., Santa Clara, Calif., in various advertising and public relations capacities including advertising manager for the company's Bolens Products Division.

He was born Sept. 29, 1917, in Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Sunnyvale; three daughters, Linda Kelley of San Jose, Calif., Joselyn Jackson of Santa Clara and Marcia Ahlansberg of Germany; a son, Rick of Foster City, Calif.: nine grandchildren; and sister, Elaine Mills Farquhar of South Bend.

He was a graduate of Indiana University.

Memorial services were held at Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church. Cremation has taken place. Lima Family Mortuary, Sunnyvale, handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
