Regina O. (Michalak) McCaffery

Regina O. McCaffery, 54, of 121 E. David St., died Monday afternoon in her residence after an extended illness. She had been a registered nurse at Healthwin Hospital. Born July 8, 1917, in South Bend, she lived here most of her lifetime.

On April 20, 1944, she was married to Clarence E. McCaffery, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, John P., of South Bend and two brothers, Richard Michalak, South Bend, and Stanley Michalak, Edwardsburg, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Wednesday in the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 31 N. Services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic. Church, with Rev. Martin Rini, C.S.C., assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home
