Daniel Joseph Marshall

March 14, 1917 - Feb. 28, 1991

SOUTH BEND - Daniel Joseph Marshall, 73, formerly of 1521 N. Iowa Street, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday in Meridian Nursing Home-Cardinal. Mr. Marshall retired in 1981 as a timestudy engineer for Bendix Corp. after 30 years. He also was a self-employed wedding photographer.

He was born March 14, 1917, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Nov. 25, 1944, in South Bend, he married Monica S. Dudeck. She died March 25, 1978.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Sumpter of Plymouth; two sons, Wayne J. of Mishawaka and James D. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Walorski, Dorothy DeBaets, and Mary Badora, all of South Bend; and a brother, Joseph Marszal of South Bend.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Ushers Club.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Entombment will be at. Resurrection Gardens of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Northern Indiana Chapter, or the church.
