Thomas P. Marker

Thomas P. Marker, 80, Venice and formerly of Englewood, died June 13, 1999. He was born March 24, 1919, in South Bend, Ind., and came to Venice two years ago from Englewood. He came to Englewood in 1986 from Detroit after retiring as a writer and producer of educational and industrial films.

He taught English at the University of Notre Dame, where he had earned a bachelor's degree in English. He was in naval intelligence during World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; a daughter, Sherry of Northampton, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

There will be no local services. A memorial Mass and inurnment will be in Detroit. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge.
