Frances Maggert
June 13, 1917 – April 10, 2006
Frances Maggert, 88, of East Madison Street in Mishawaka, Ind., passed away in her home on Monday, April 10, 2006. She is now walking with the Lord, and playing with the animals. Frances was born in South Bend on June 13, 1917, to the late Charles and Edythe Maggert.
After graduating from Central High School, she worked as a secretary for the South Bend Community School Corporation. Surviving is her longtime and very loyal friend, Marian Wendowski of Mishawaka. Marian and her family not only took care of Frances, but kept the promise that Frances would always be able to live at home.
Frances was a very kindhearted and gentle lady. She never raised her voice or had a bad word to say about anyone. Her always smiling face will be missed. Miss Maggert was an avid reader, loved all animals, especially dogs, and enjoyed baking and eating chocolate chip cookies.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m.on April 22, 2006, in the First Christian Church on Jefferson Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or to the First Christian Church, 1101 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46617.
