Carl D. Love , 85, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, Dec. 22, in Arborwood Living Center, Granger, Ind.
He was born on May 11, 1918, in Kokomo, Ind., to Carl and Ethyl Love . Carl married the prom queen, the former Shirley Mae Bolt in 1944. She preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Diane Hinkle in 2001.
Carl owned and operated Little Dutch Dry Cleaners for many years. He was a longtime member of Community Baptist Church and was a member of the Pioneer Auto Association. One of Carl's greatest joys was fishing.
Survivors include his son, Gregory (Zeline) Love of Mishawaka; his sister, Thelma Mae Love -Bacon of Ventura, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Wade Hinkle, Whitney Hinkle-Mosby, Alan Love and Chad Love .
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home.
