George Louis Koloszar

June 17, 1918 - Nov. 10, 1991

SOUTH BEND - George Louis Koloszar, 73, of 19120 Strawberry Hill Road, died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Mr. Koloszar retired in 1983 after 42 years as a tool and die maker for Bendix Corp. He played professional baseball for the Chicago for two years. He was born June 17, 1918, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 2, 1943, in South Bend, he married Carlotte C. Cline. She survives with a son, Kurt L. of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Smith of Osceola. He was a World War II veteran and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360. He was active in Little League.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, where VFW Post 360 will conduct military services. Friends may call two hours before services Wednesday in the funeral home
