Swartz Creek PICKETT, Virginia Mae - Of Swartz Creek, age 70, died Saturday, January 21, 1989 at the residence. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 24, 1989 at the Sharp Funeral Home, Swartz Creek, Rev. Reginald Lancaster officiating. Burial in Highland Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, the Woodside Church Memorial Fund or the Clio Hospice Home Care. Mrs. Pickett was born in South Bend, Indiana April 10, 1918, the daughter of Charles A. and Segrid (Kaeding) Liomin. She had lived in the area since 1957 and had also resided in Lansing from 1966 to 1978.

She married Ralph C. Pickett August 8, 1948 in South Bend, Indiana. She was a member of the Woodside Church in Flint and had been a member of the Michigan-Ohio Concert for 10 years. While living in Lansing she was employed by Grinells as a Clerk for 7 years.

Surviving are: husband, Ralph; 2 sons, Clark David and wife Margaret Pickett of Randallstown, Maryland, Robert Wayne and wife Paula Pickett of St. Charles, Missouri; grandson, Jeffery Clark Pickett of Anaheim, California; granddaughter, Lori Paxton of Bethany, Oklahoma; several cousins and many friends.
