Esther Mae (Labadie) Seawell

SEAWELL - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Esther Mae Seawell, 57, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of South Bend. She died Wednesday in her home after a lengthy illness. Born on March 11, 1918, in South Bend, she had lived in Anchorage for seven years, moving there from Idaho.
In 1943 in South Bend, as Esther Labadie, she married John L. Seawell, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Judie Lape of Anchorage and Mrs. Karyn Peterson of Santa Clara, Calif.; a grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Louis Harden of South Bend.
Services were Saturday in the Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Anchorage. Rev. Charles Eddy, pastor of St. Mary Episcopal Church, officiated and cremation followed. Mrs.
Seawell was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
