Eula Dora Kreighbaum Bunch

Eula Dora Bunch, 91, of Eureka, formerly of Peoria, passed away at 4:47 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1918, in South Bend, Ind., to Bruce and Bernice (York) Kreighbaum. She married Louis Keith Bunch on Sept. 1, 1940, in South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois Schrader.

Surviving are her husband, Keith Bunch of Eureka; two daughters, Karen (Sam) Britten of Peoria and Janis (Dan) Greenwood of Washington; two granddaughters, Tiffany (Greg) Newgent of Peoria and Brianne (Wes) Hoerr of Washington; five great-grandchildren, Sean, Alyssa and Gunnar Newgent, and Grant and Logan Hoerr; one brother, Marlin (Helen) Kreighbaum; and five nieces and nephews.

Eula was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria for over 55 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher and pianist for the junior department.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka for the wonderful care they gave to Eula during her stay.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Ritch Boerckel will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Memorials may be made in Eula's name to the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter or to the Bethany Baptist Building Fund.
