SOUTH BEND - Emery J. Kocsis Jr., 79, of North College Street, died at 2 p.m. Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Kocsis retired in 1979 from Mastic Corp. He was born July 4, 1914, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.
On July 23, 1938, in South Bend, he married Dorothy Mossman. She survives with a daughter, Linda Howard of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Jim of South Bend; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth Dick and Mary Fogarty, both of South Bend.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Beacon Bowl Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
