Miss Irene Klockowski, 59, of 2301 W. Roger, died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. She was a long-time employe of the St. Joseph (Ind.) County Building Department and was executive secretary of the board of zoning appeals.

She was born on Aug. 12, 1917, in South Bend and lived here all her life.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Tomkiewicz and Mrs. Helen Krigelski, and a brother, John, all of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Rev. Albin L. Hosinski, C.S.C., pastor, and Rev. Michael Blume of Ghana officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
