Virginia J. (Kidd) Young

SOUTH BEND Virginia June Kidd Young, 77, of 132 S. Scott St., died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Young retired in 1983, from Miles Inc., Elkhart. She was born Jun 4, 1918, in Milwaukee.

On May 10, 1947, in South, Bend, as Virginia June Kidd, she married Richard James Young. He died in 1979.

She is survived by a daughter, Madelyn V. Young Bruns of Spartanburg, S.C.; three sons, James E. of Norfolk, Va., and Warren E. and Douglas, both of South Bend; five: grandchildren; and a sister, Carol K. Clifford of Atlanta.

She attended New School for Social Research, New York City, and Indiana University South Bend. She was a veteran of the Army Air Forces during World War II and a member of First Church of Christ Scientists and Mother Church, Boston.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
