Alex Stanley Kettles

Alex Kettles, 41, a former South Bend resident, died Saturday at a hospital in Reseda, Calif. He was born in Canada and was a missiles engineer.
He is survived by his widow, the former Winifred Masters, of Mishawaka; five children, Sharon, Delores, Shirley, Robert and Alex Jr., at home, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kettles, of Cannoga Park, Calif.
Mr. Kettles was a veteran of World War II, in which he was awarded the Purple heart.
Funeral services and burial will be Tuesday in Reseda.
