Raymond Robert Jurek, 86, of Threemile Road in Durant, Okla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma.

Raymond was born in Chicago, III., to Michael A. and Stella (Kosteacki) Jurek, who have both preceded him in death. In 1940, in South Bend, Raymond married Katherine Elbe, who also preceded him in death Nov. 21, 1981.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Carolyn (Billy) Pusley of Durant and Marsha (Ronald) Snyder of Dearborn, Mich.; sons, Michael (Marcia) Jurek of South Bend, Patrick (Anne) Jurek of Elkhart, Ind., and Raymond Jurek of Clarksville, Ind.; sisters, Irene (Donald) Baker Jr. of LeHigh Acres, Fla.; and by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one niece.

Friends may visit in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1 1 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Victory Life Church or to the church of your choice.

Raymond attended school and Vincennes University School of Mortuary Science in Indiana. He was a second-generation funeral director and embalmer.
He served in this career for over 30 years at St. Joseph Funeral Home in South Bend. Raymond was a member of St. Josephs Men Club, Z.B. Falcons, and the Army Navy Post in South Bend. He moved to Durant in 1992 and was a member of Victory Life Church in Durant.
