Lois R. Josephson

SOUTH BEND - Lois Ruth Josephson, 73. of North Swanson Circle, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Miss Josephson retired in 1981 as coordintor of libraries for the South Bend Community School Corp.

She was born Feb. 8, 1919. in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by a sister, Helen M. Josephson of South Bend.

She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church. Indiana Library Association. American Library Association and Saint Mary's Alumni Association. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's College. Indiana University at Bloomington and Columbia University, where she received a doctorate in library science.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home. 521 N. William St. Burial will be in City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
