Harold Enoch Johnson

Harold Enoch Johnson, 71, of 2151 Portage Ave., died at 3:08 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Johnson retired in 1977, from the Bendix Corp. as a tool and die maker after 40 years of service.

He was born May 2, 1917, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On June 1, 1940, in South Bend, he married Evelyn Stafford, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Jane Smith of South Bend; a son, Gregory of Lake Forest, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

He was a member of South Bend Lodge 45 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Westminster Presbyterian Church and Avalon Grotto.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.
