Marie Bernice (Jankowski) Fields

July 12, 1918 - June 12, 1997

Marie B. Fields, 78, of Imus Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 2:33 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, in the St. Joseph Community Hospital emergency room, Mishawaka.

Marie was born on July 12, 1918, in South Bend, Ind., to Chester and Mary Jankowski, who both preceded her in death. 

Marie B. Jankowski married Ralph D. Fields in 1943. Ralph preceded her in death in 1969. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Fields in 1947.

Mrs. Fields is survived by a son, Kevin Fields of Mishawaka, and by two grandchildren.

Marie retired from I.U.S.B. as a secretary in 1985 after 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and she volunteered at United Health Services.

Services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Officiating will be Rev. William Sullivan. Friends may call from noon until the 1 time of services on Sunday. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
