SOUTH BEND Frederick H. Graeber, 76, of Echo Drive, died at 2:15 p.m. Sunday in his home of natural causes. Mr. Graeber retired as an engineer from Lum Engineering in 1981 and was associated other engineering firms in the South Bend area. He was born March 15, 1918, in Rochester and lived in this area most of his life.

On April 4, 1936, in Rochester, he married Stella "Sue" Kenyon. survives with three daughters, Beverly J. Wright of Poway, Calif., Carol A. Hill of Visalia, Calif., and Karen S. Graeber of Indianapolis; a son, Dennis L. of Niles; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren: and a half sister. Miriam Stonecipher Columbus, Ind.

He was a member of Southlawn United Methodist Church, South Bend Masonic Lodge 294, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine Temple, South Bend Shrine Club. Four Lakes Country Club, of which he was a past board member, Masonic Temple Board. South Bend Exchange Club, of which he was a past president, and the Golden Gang Bowling Club at Chippewa Lanes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Entombment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or the church building fund
