Robert A. Ehlers

Robert A. Ehlers, 79, of New Port Richey, Fla., died on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Community Hospital, New Port Richey.

Born on June 20, 1918, in Hammond, Ind., he came here 18 years ago from South Bend, Ind. He was the owner/president of Ehlers Insulation Co., South Bend, and a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, New Port Richey. He was a charter member of the South Bend Jaycees, president of St. Joseph County Commissioners, a Republican nominee in 1966 for St. Joseph County Third District, a member of the Military Affairs Committee Chamber of Commerce, board of directors of Gulf Harbors Yacht Club, board of directors of South Bend Transportation Co., and a member of the Morris Park Country Club.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine; a son, James A. of Winamac, Ind.; a daughter, Lynn Whitall of Crownsville, Md.; a brother, Edwin S. of South Bend and by two granddaughters.
