Eloise Vera (Dixon) Helenburg

Eloise V. Helenburg, 65, of 30266 County Road 16 W., Elkhart, formerly of South Bend, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in her home. She was employed by Morgan Drive Away Corp.

She was born Aug. 11, 1918, in South Whitley, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of her life.

On Dec. 24, 1936, in South Bend, as Eloise Dixon, she married Woodrow R. Helenburg. He survives with two daughters, Freya Thomas of Elkhart and Lisa Watts of Corona, Calif.; a son, Woodrow R. of Alexandria, Va.; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, where friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Osceola Chapter 598.
