Claudine E. Burrus, 65, of Garland, Texas, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1916, in South Bend and moved to Dallas in 1950. As Claudine Darling she married John A. Burrus Sr. on Aug. 7, 1937, in South Bend. He survives, two sons, John A. Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., and James A. of Dallas; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Elaine Stark of South Bend; two brothers, George R. Darling of Trinidad, Tx and Gerald R. Darling, Sr. and her mother Mrs. Barbara Darling, both of South Bend.

Services will be at the Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. Dr. Kenneth Hay, pastor emeritus of the Lakeview Christian Church, Dallas, will officiate. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Dallas. Mrs. Burrus was a member of the Lakeview Christian Church and the AARP Chapter in Dallas.

Local arrangements are being made by the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.
