Muriel Belle Chester (Colip) Allen

Muriel Colip Allen, 48, of Hagerstown, Ind., died Sunday morning in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, after a lengthy illness. She lived most of her life in South Bend, where she was born on Jan. 12, 1918.

She was married on Dec. 21, 1940, in South Bend, to George Allen, who survives, along with a daughter, Claudia, at home; a son, George Jr., a student, at Valparaiso University; sister, Mrs. Audrey Nedderman, Grand Beach, Mich.; and two brothers, Richard Collp of Buchanan and Alfred Earl Colip of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay, and Son Funeral Home, and until services there at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. John U. Miller, pastor of Hagerstown United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will in Highland Cemetery.
