June Kathryn (Clinton) Cox

June Kathryn Cox, 83, residing on East Fox Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in her home. She was retired from Associates after serving as secretary for several years. Mrs. Cox was born on Aug. 26, 1918, in South Bend, to Truman and Dola (Abbott) Clinton, and was a lifelong area resident.
In 1939, in South Bend, she married Sterling W. Cox, who preceded her in death in 1966.
Mrs. Cox is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Walter) Kopala of Newport Beach, Calif.; two sons, Craig (Linda) Cox of South Bend and Lance S. (Joan) Cox of California, Ky.; four grandchildren, Paige Cox of South Bend, David (Marcia) Cox of Independence, Ky., Steven Cox of California, Ky., and Walt (Sativa) Kopala of Corona, Calif.; and by four greatgrandchildren, Caylor Kopala, Gracie Kopala and Olivia Kopala, all of Corona, Calif., and Tyler Cox of Independence, Ky.
Mrs. Cox was a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, South Bend, Women of the Moose #58, South Bend, and was an avid animal lover and bingo player at Elks Lodge #235.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. James B. Miller, pastor of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, Ind. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
