SIX INJURED, ONE FATALLY, IN AUTO CRASH

Robert Bernhardt, 19, Dies in Niles Accident. Six South Bend youths were injured, one of them fatally, at 11 p. m., Thursday in Niles when the car in which they were riding crashed into an electric light pole on the east side of the Grant street viaduct.

Robert Bernhardt, aged 19, of 2433 Frederickson street, died Pawating hospital at 3 a.m., today with a basal skull. fracture, a broken jaw and both legs fractured. Bernhardt's father is int:Florida. Mrs. Bernhardt was called.to the Niles hospital and was with her son when he died. 

He was born in South Bend. Sept. 20. 1918, and lived his life here. Friends will be received In the residence Sunday and in the A. M. Russell chapel Monday until the funeral there at 2 p.m.
