NILES, MI - Dominic Augustine passed away at Riveridge Nursing Home, Niles, MI, at the age of 100 and a half years old, on March 11, 2017. He was from South Bend and came to Niles in 1988. He married his wife Gwen in 1946 in Kokomo, IN.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Gwen in December 2010, also deceased are four brothers and five sisters. His sister, Teresa Harman is still living in Plymouth. Don's surviving family include two daughters, Cindy Augustine of South Bend and Christine (Rick) Guipe of Niles, MI. One grandson, David of Virginia, one grandson, John of Holt, MI, one granddaughter, Kathy of Niles, MI. Also, one great-granddaughter, Haley. Don also has nephews and nieces in Kokomo and South Bend.

Don was a barber and had his own shop in downtown South Bend. After that, he worked at Bowlers Country Club. In the 80's he enjoyed bowling and golf with his wife Gwen. Don loved watching the Cubs and Notre Dame football a lot. He was a very loving, generous man throughout his entire life. He will be with his wife in heaven now!
