George Winthrop Allen Sr.

SOUTH BEND - George Winthrop Allen Sr., 91, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, after a short illness. He was born in South Bend on Oct. 9, 1918, to Frank Hayes Allen and Hazel Pepple Allen. He married Muriel Belle Colip of South Bend, and after her death in 1966 he married Elizabeth Wedding Kampf of Connersville, IN, where they subsequently made their home.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; by his children, George W. Allen Jr. and Claudia Allen Cole; by his grandchildren, Heidi Allen and Todd Allen; and by his great-grandson, Jasan Matthew De Luna. He is also survived by his stepsons, Robert Kampf and John Kampf, by his seven step-grandchildren and by his eight step-great-grandchildren.
