James Walter Rathfon.

Feb 10, 1924 - Sep 1, 1946

James W. Rathfon, aged 22, of 1023 Sherman avenue, died at 11:15 p. m. Sunday in Memorial hospital after an illness of one week. He was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Feb. 10, 1924, and came here 15 years ago from Canada.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Tressie B. Rathfon, South Bend; a brother Harry R., South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Earl F. Perkins, Edwardsburg, Mich., and Miss Clara V. Rathfon, Dayton, OH.

Friends may call in Orvis funeral home until funeral services there at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday. Rev. Noel P. Irwin, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Merle Kennedy, pastor of Ridgedale Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.

He was a member of the army reserve and was recently released from the army
