Harold Henry O'Blenis

February 15, 1924 – November 28, 2013

SOUTH BEND – Harold H. O'Blenis, 89, residing in South Bend, passed away at 2:00 AM Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Harold was born in South Bend, IN on February 15, 1924 to the late Elmer and Ruth (Stillson) O'Blenis and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was married to Margaret L. (Strasser) O'Blenis, who survives. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He worked for many years at Bendix Corporation as a machinist, retiring in 1985. Harold was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret O'Blenis of South Bend; daughters, Carolyn (James) Mert and Debby Butler, both of South Bend; sons, William (Nancy) O'Blenis, Donald (Janet) O'Blenis, Arnie (Jackie) O'Blenis, all of South Bend; son-in-law, Norman Miller of Delphi, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Miller.

Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
