John C. Curtis

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX John C. Curtis was born on. January 13, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 10, 2014 at the age of 91. John served as a combat pilot, 2nd Lieutenant, in the U.S. Army Air Corps-World War II in the European Theater. He was an independent insurance agent in Corpus Christi; a member of the Corpus Christi Rotary Club, served as President of the American Cancer Society and various other boards. John belonged to the First Presbyterian Church and served loyally as active member, Deacon, Elder, and various committees.

John is survived by his wife, Doris Cervantes Curtis; daughter, Julie and son, Roland D. Garza.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 430 S. Carancahua in Corpus Christi, Texas. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice
