Norman J. Bailey, 42, of 6349 Park Ave., Indianapolis, a former resident of the South Bend died Saturday in his home area, of an apparent heart attack. He was an interior decorator for the L. S. Ayers Co., Indianapolis. He born on March 3, 1924, in  South Bend. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Bailey, South Bend; a brother, Conrad A., Chicago, and his grandfather, Albert Brubaker, South Bend.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Edward Vaught, of Epworth Memorial Methodist Church, officiating.

Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum. He was a veteran of World War II.
