Mary Alice Scott Erhardt

Mary Alice Erhardt, 76, of Birch Lake Shore Drive, died in her home on Wednesday, Oct 4, 2000.

She was born Feb 20, 1924, in South Bend, the daughter of Vern G Sr and Gladys V (Campbell) Scott, and graduated in 1942 from South Bend Central High School.

She married Donald F Erhardt on May 29, 1943, and he died Aug 20, 1998.

Mrs. Erhardt is survived by two sons, two daughters, three grandchildren and a brother Vern G Scott Jr of South Bend.

Two grandsons are deceased.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm (Michigan time) Sunday at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where the service will be at 11 am Monday. The Rev Dr Ernest E Geist with First Congregational Church in Michigan City will officiate. A graveside service will be at 1 pm Monday at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.

Mrs Erhardt lived in South Bend for many years, bought a cottage on Birch Lake in 1952 and moved there permanently in 1973. She worked for Pence-Dickens-Heeter in South Bend and Dodge Manufacturing in Mishawaka.

She enjoyed reading and dining out and participated in a number of Birch Lake community activities.
