Carl Berdell "Bud" Leslie

Oct. 29, 1923 – March 26, 1996

South Bend – Services for Carl B. "Bud" Leslie, 72, of Union Avenue, who died at
11:05 p.m. Tuesday in his home of natural causes, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be in St.
Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 3 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society Inc.

Mr. Leslie retired in 1987 from Buchanan Metal Form as a quality supervisor. He
was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Logansport, Ind., and lived in South Bend most of his
life.

On Sept. 21, 1941, in South Bend, he married Emily Peklo. She survives with a
daughter, Christine Leslie of South Bend; a son, Timothy of Longmont, Colo.; two
grandchildren; and two brothers, Paul E. of Ventura, Calif., and Gerald of South
Bend. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 45, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend,
and was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
