Charles F. Knox, 56, 319 State Line Road, Niles, died at 3:55 p.m. Friday in Osteopathic Hospital. He was ill two weeks. He was born on Feb. 17, 1924, in South Bend, and lived in Niles since 1957. Knox was employed by the Bendix Corp. for 30 years.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Sue Knox of South Bend and Mrs. Synthia Antus of Niles; a son, David W: Knox of Buchanan; four grandchildren, and a brother, Samuel J. Knox of Riverside, Calif.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday 'in Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 336 N. Main. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was a veteran of World War II. Knox was a member of the American Legion and of the LaLue Messenger Post 26
