M. Patricia “Patsy” Forker Jenkins

SOUTH BEND - M. Patricia Jenkins, 84, formerly of Victory Avenue, South Bend, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Hamilton Communities in New Carlisle. She was born on October 9, 1923, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Marion (Nessel) Forker.

She graduated from Central High School.

On July 2, 1955, she married John G. Jenkins, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1972. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Donahue, and her two brothers, James and Richard Forker. Patricia is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Lynn Jenkins of New Carlisle, Janet (Brian) Coyner of Culver and Judi Jenkins of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Jennifer Phommarath of South Bend and Grant Coyner of Culver.

Patricia had been a member of Sunnyside Presbyterian Church.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in the Mausoleum, with Rev. James Campbell officiating. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home assisted her family with arrangements. In loving memory of Patricia, memorial contributions may be made to either LOGAN Community Resources, Inc., Att: Foundation, P.O. Box 1049, South Bend, IN 46624; or to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
