Patricia Clauson

Mishawaka - Patricia "Pat" Jane Clauson of Mishawaka passed away the morning of September 24, 2021. Pat was born May 1, 1927 in Coldwater, Mi to the late Edgar and Helen (Carter) Schock. She resided in the Michiana area most of her life.

Pat was united in marriage with Erick Clauson June 26, 1948 in South Bend In. Erick preceded Pat in death on March 14, 1955. Together they had two children, Karen S. (Terry) Hunt of Granger, IN; and James C. (Linda) Clauson of South Bend, IN. Also surviving are 5 beloved grandchildren, Debra (Michael) Shepard; Sean (Stacey) Clauson; Jamie (Martin) Weir; Daniel (Erica) Hunt; and Erick (Ellen) Clauson. There are also 12 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband Erick, Pat was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy Stone and Betty Shank, grandson Clayton Wooldridge and her dear friend Alice Strickland.

Pat was an Administrative Assistant at South Bend School Corporation, retiring in 1991 after 25 years. She also served as a Secretary at Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a lifetime member, was a 50 Year member of the Order of Eastern Star #2, Pilot International Club, and South Bend Educational Secretaries.

Funeral Services for Pat will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 12:00 pm noon at Palmer Funeral Homes – Welsheimer Chapel 521 N. William St. South Bend, IN 46616 with visitation one hour prior to service. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday Evening from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with an Eastern Star Service being held at 6:00 pm by the Lakeville Order of Eastern Star Chapter 479.

The Family would like to give extra Thanks to Shelli and Casey of the Center For Hospice Care for their Care as well as Richard, Renee, and Laura from Sprenger Healthcare.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Organization of Donors choice or Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
